At the request of many participants of the conference of 19 and 20 May, we intend to produce written documents and a video of the colloquium.
The details of implementation are not fixed yet.
It will take some time to materialize this project however. We hope to complete it in September 2011.

The complex questions related to the adolescents “comorbidity” (severe psychological disabilities associated to severe behavioral disabilities known by the Juvenile Justice) only begin today to emerge in the international medical literature. However, care systems for these specific forensic disabilities are not described in literature.
These offenders, adolescents or young adults with psychiatric disorders, arouse a lot of emotions and contrasted comments in our society. During these two days, international recognized experts will discuss questions about:

Updated scientific knowledge about mental disorders requiring special care for juvenile offenders

Presentation of clinical, theoretical, methodological resources in this field

Comparison of international legal systems in regard with ethical considerations
-
Difficulties known in the construction of a care network for youngsters raise complex questions about dialogue and collaboration between justice, mental health and youth welfare.
The invited speakers present their publications and/or their professional experiences through expositions, communications, posters or workshops (Program).
This event will also celebrate the 8th anniversary of the admission unit Karibu of the Centre Hospitalier Jean Titeca.
